Project title:

The first genome-wide association study (GWAS) with population-based coronary heart disease at 10 years in more than 100,000 participants to personalize cardiovascular prevention in Spain (PMP22/00033)

Research group / Service:

Girona Heart Registry (REGICOR) research group

Description:

The selected person will join the Girona Heart Registry (REGICOR) research group (Epidemiology and public health research program).

Task:

Management and handling of large-scale clinical databases on servers. To do so, it will be necessary for the candidate to know how to use external servers (dockers) and appropriate software.

Formation:

Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine, Genetics, or similar

Experience:

Prior experience in data curation, handling omics data, and artificial intelligence is required. It is essential to have previously collaborated with research groups focused on the analysis of large clinical databases. Candidates with scientific publications will be highly regarded.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of languages such as SQL, Python, Bash, and R is essential. Additionally, familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC), dockers, Git, and GitHub will be appreciated. An advanced level of English is required.
