Research group / Service:

Cell research on inflammation and cartilage research group

Description:

The selected person will join the Cell research on inflammation and cartilage research group (Translational Clinical Research Program).

Task:

The candidate will be involved in the data mining of 4 cohorts databses, in order to accomplish the objectives of the project: 1) corroborate the results previously obtained in a validation cohort, as well as in a national and international cohort and 2) Integrate the results obtained to define clustering of knee osteoarthritis patients

Formation:

Degree or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Bioinformatics, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering or related disciplines. It will be valued to have a master's Degree in Statistics.

Experience:

More than 2 years experience as Data Scientist/Statistician. Experience in clustering anasysis. Experience in R, Python and SQL programming

Knowledge:

• Data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis • Knowledge in pattern recognition and predictive modelling • Access, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python, SAS)

• Good command of the English language. • Ability to work effectively, with attention to detail in a dynamic, research-oriented group. • Informatic skills. • Skills to teamwork and a high level of empathy.
