Lung Cancer Research Lab

The lung cancer research lab was born in 2011, under the leadership of Dr. Edurne Arriola, as a new section of the Molecular Cancer Therapeutics group led by Dr. Joan Albanell.

The central pillar of the group is the study of non-small and small cell lung cancer. The axis of knowledge is divided in three areas:

• Identification of biomarkers of benefit or resistance to immunomodulatory check-point inhibitors
• Study of the relevance of molecular alterations (EGFR, RAS, ALK, Ros1, MET, PD-L1) as biomarkers or viable therapeutic targets
• Validation of new technologies for molecular diagnosis in lung cancer in different approaches (tumor tissue and peripheral blood)
