Visit to the Anti-Doping Laboratory of Catalonia by the Board of Directors of the Catalan Association of Sports Managers

The Anti-Doping Laboratory of Catalonia was visited last week by a delegation of the Board of Directors of the Catalan Association of Sports Directors (ACDE). ACDE is an association that brings together leaders, federations and professionals in the world of sport in Catalonia while providing them with the best tools to develop their role and promote excellence in the management and values of sport.

The delegation was formed by Pere Sust (President of ACDE), Jordi Durá (Secretary), Francisco Sanahuja, Miquel Torres, Pilar Xifré, Manuel Martínez and Judith Martínez, all of them with extensive and recognized links to Catalan and international sports federations and organizations, and was received by the IMIM management and the Laboratory management. After an introduction of the activities of IMIM and the Laboratory, the attendees visited the Laboratory facilities. The ACDE members showed great interest in the work carried out at the Laboratory, both in terms of the analysis of anti-doping samples and in terms of the research projects developed and the repercussion that these activities have at national and international level. They have valued very positively the international prestige of the Laboratory and its important work in favor of a clean sport. During the visit, the possible ways of collaboration between ACDE and the Anti-Doping Laboratory for the Catalan sport and to guarantee a healthy sport practice have been discussed extensively.

ACDE awarded last February the distinction of Best Professional Leader to Dr. Rosa Ventura Alemany, director of the Anti-Doping Laboratory of Catalonia.
