Description:

The selected person will join the Scientific and technical support (Management program).

Task:

- Management of the Agendo software: maintenance and configuration of the program. Bugs and improvements. User training. - Administrative tasks: invoicing, booking management. - Agenda follow-up meetings with the developers for the implementation of new features and problem solving. - Management of cytometry data analysis programs: licenses, installation, troubleshooting. - Management of the Unit's IT equipment and networks. - Web maintenance. - Training of new users in the use of self-service equipment. - Specific cell sorting training for advanced users. - Training of users in the different flow cytometry data analysis programs. - Advising users in the experimental design to obtain better results, in the resolution of problems that may arise and in the interpretation of the results. - Cell sorting cytometer operator. - Cytometer analyzer operator. - Maintenance and quality control of the different equipment. - Cell culture and control of the sterility of the different equipment. - Resolution of minor breakdowns in the different equipment. - Preparation of sorters for DNA-free techniques. - Preparation of chromosome samples and chromosome sorting. - Participation in research and development projects of the Unit.

Formation:

University degree in Biomedical Sciences or similar.

Experience:

Minimum experience of 5 years in a flow cytometry core facility.

Knowledge:

- Languages: Catalan and Spanish. Good level of spoken and written English, including proper understanding of scientific texts and technical protocols. - Expert level knowledge in computer management applications: Agendo, Oracle, Abac. - Minimum experience of 5 years in cell culture, analytical flow cytometry, and cell sorting. - Expert level experience with the following cytometers: Fortessa, LSR2, Aurora, FACSaria, BD Influx, and BigFoot. - Expert level knowledge in flow cytometry software: DiVa, Spectroflow, Sortware, FlowJo, FCSexpress, ModFit. - Expertise in the following methodologies will be positively valued: flow cytometry karyotype and chromosome sorting, nanoparticle sorting (viruses, extracellular vesicles), and spectral cytometry.
