Animal research models

Animal research models at the Mar Research Institute Hospital are carried out at the PRBB Stabulary facility. Mice are the primary species used, but other species may also be used based on the needs of research projects. 

Before beginning any animal experimentation, it is important to first contact the PRBB's Ethics Committee on Animal Experimentation (EECA). The committee will initiate the review process and assess whether the use of animals is justified, as well as determine whether the experimental procedures need to be modified or are adequate.
