Antonio García de Herreros, new member of the Appeals Commission for the Quality Assurance Agency of the Catalan University System

Dr. Antonio García de Herreros has joined the Appeals Committee for the Quality Agency of the Catalan University System (AQU Catalunya).

Dr. Antonio García de Herreros, a researcher at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) and professor in the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University, has joined the Appeals Committee for the Quality Agency of the Catalan University System (AQU Catalunya), the main instrument for promoting and assessing quality in Catalan universities.

Dr. García de Herreros already has extensive experience in evaluation, as he has been a member of the AQU Catalunya faculty evaluation commissions since 2012. As a member of this committee, he will be responsible for studying and ruling on appeals against negative decisions concerning the accreditation of Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor, as well as on the awarding of research periods. As a member of the commission, Dr. García de Herreros will primarily examine the files in the areas of Life Sciences and Medicine.

Dr. Antonio García de Herreros is the coordinator of the IMIM's Mechanisms of tumorigenesis and tumour progression research group. His work is focused on the molecular mechanisms that control tumour invasion and he has published more than one hundred and twenty research articles in international journals.
